Mike Barcroft came to the Cayman islands, in 1996, after a 29 year career as an officer in the Royal Air Force and has been a Business Continuity Institute (BCI) certified practitioner since early 1997. He brings with him a wealth of real, practical global experience and expertise and, works in close consultation with the Brac Informatics Centre (BIC) IT staff on systems and data related topics.

As well as providing Business Continuity Planning expertise, whether by means of a specific Contingency Plan e.g. Hurricane or Fire, he is also able to provide related staff training sessions and detailed advice on fuel and fire codes. In addition, he successfully implemented and directed insurance policy recovery efforts for a number of Cayman companies following Hurricanes Ivan and Paloma and, has provided pro-bono planning and training expertise to the International Red Cross and Caribbean Red Cross Societies in the drafting and production of the Caribbean Red Cross Societies “Logistics & Relief Supply Handbook” and associated training modules.

Mike Barcroft has been the Project Manager on a numerous successful “hard facility” projects in the Cayman Islands which have stood the test of time and mother nature through a number of hurricanes, including Hurricane Ivan.
